"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone." 1Corinthians 12:4-6
We are instructed by God in Sacred Scriptures, led by the Holy Spirit, directed by Christ in his teachings and his example, and commissioned at the conclusion of every Mass to serve God by serving others.
The front of each weekly bulletin lists the ministries at St. Mary's. We are called to go out and be missionaries within our own communities. Reach out and be a disciple of the Lord. Our vocations extend from the Mass. We always have need for Eucharistic ministers, lectors, ushers, teachers, sponsors, and more in our church community. Whatever talent is needed to accomplish the task, Jesus always multiplies the talent. He only asks that we come to him as we are, and he will multiply us as he did the fishes and loaves in Matthew 14:13-21.
In order to protect, nurture, and provide for the care of our children and our vulnerable persons, all volunteers and workers in ministry must abide by the guidelines set forth by the Diocese of Austin, Texas, the USCCB, and the code set forth in Ethics and Integrity in Ministry.
