Preparing for Pentecost at St. Mary’s Catholic Church

Dear St. Mary’s Parishioners,

This coming Sunday, we will celebrate Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and all of Christ’s first disciples, empowering them to boldly proclaim the Gospel to the world.

Pentecost was not only an event in the past. Christ continues to send the Holy Spirit to strengthen and guide the Church today. Here at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pentecost lives on whenever we unite as a parish family to worship together, serve others, and bear witness to God’s love and compassion.

As we prepare for Pentecost, I invite you to consider one meaningful way to support the Church’s ongoing mission: creating or updating your will. This practical and spiritual act allows us to care for our loved ones while also helping ensure that our Catholic faith continues to be handed on for generations to come.

To support St. Mary’s Catholic Church parishioners in this important step, the Diocese of Austin has made available a free estate planning resource. Called FreeWill, this secure, easy-to-use tool allows you to create or update your will at your own pace.

Create or Update Your Will for Free

As you complete the process, you may choose to include a legacy gift to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in your estate plan. This is optional and not a requirement for using FreeWill, but it is something I hope you will prayerfully consider.

May the Holy Spirit guide us as we prepare for Pentecost and continue to proclaim the Gospel, today and always.

Blessings,
Fr. Will Rooney
Pastor, St. Mary’s Catholic Church

P.S. Have you already included the Diocese of Austin or St. Mary’s Catholic Church in your will? Please tell us about your existing gift so we can thank you properly.
