Epiphany Home Blessing

Epiphany Home Blessings:

The custom of blessing homes on or near the Epiphany has come down to us from venerable tradition. When blessing our homes we ask God to help us live charity in the place where we spend the majority of our time, and for protection against every harmful spirit. At Mass this weekend you will be able to grab blessed chalk, a bottle of Holy Water, and a prayer handout so that you can bless your home.

We especially invite Dads and Grandfathers to take the lead in blessing your home sometime on Sunday evening (If that is not possible, of course others are welcome to do so as well.)

Called by Name | Relationship | Baptism of the Lord

This homily begins a three-part series titled Called by Name, preached on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Fr. Will Rooney reflects on how our mission in life flows not first from what we do for God, but from who we are in relationship with Him. Drawing on the witness of St. Louis IX and the Gospel account of Jesus’ baptism, this reflection explores how baptism establishes us as beloved sons and daughters, invited into Christ’s own relationship with the Father—a relationship that becomes the foundation for identity, prayer, and mission.

Listen to Fr. Will’s Homily from last week about the amazing things happening at St. Mary’s and learn how you can help.
