Gift In-Kind
A gift-in-kind is a non-cash donation of goods or services that directly supports St. Mary’s. These contributions may include items such as supplies, equipment, professional services, event materials, and other tangible resources. Please complete the form below to provide details about your gift and return it to the school office or email it to give@stmarys-temple.org.
Memorial & Tribute Gifts
Gifts in memory of deceased friends, loved ones, alumni, or gifts that honor living individuals are gratefully accepted. Such contributions are often used to reflect the special interests of the person honored. Any gift may be designated in memory of, or in honor of, a loved one.
Employer Matching Gift Programs & Volunteer Grants
Matching your gift is a great way to double or even triple your impact! Many companies match cash gifts from employees to qualified non-profits. Some even match gifts from retirees or spouses. Encourage family and friends to participate, especially if they work for a company that participates in a matching gift program.
Additionally, some employers provide grants based on volunteer hours or allow employees to nominate a charity for special funding opportunities. We encourage you to check with your employer to see if they participate in any of these programs.
If your employer requires an Employer Identification Number (EIN), please use 74-1180193.
You may mail or email (give@stmarytempletx.org) your completed matching gift form to:
St. Mary’s Catholic Church
1018 South 7th St.
Temple, TX 76504

Please complete this form prior to transferring so that we can identify and apply your gift properly. All stock transactions are processed through the Diocese of Austin and distributed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church once liquidated. Please contact Lisa Rosenberger to begin the process.

Support St. Mary's with a Legacy Gift
Anyone can make a legacy gift, and you might be able to contribute more than you think! A legacy gift is one that comes from assets and, therefore, allows you to make a larger gift than you could from income. While some legacy gifts can provide you with a lifetime income, others use tax-smart ways to maximize your gift and/or minimize the tax impact. Most take effect in the future as a final way to create your legacy (and therefore do not affect today’s finances). Discover the giving options below that work best for your goals.
Gifts in a Will or Trust
A simple and popular way to make a legacy gift is through your Will or Living Trust. You specify a percentage of your estate, a dollar amount, an item, or an asset that you want your beneficiary to receive after your lifetime. You also have the option of naming St. Mary’s Catholic Church as a beneficiary of your estate.
Beneficiary Designations
You can name St. Mary’s Catholic Church as a beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans and life insurance policies after you’re gone. You simply fill out a form that is entirely separate from your will, which makes this approach an easy way to give. Not only is it an easy way to give, but it’s also flexible, you aren’t locked into the choices you make today. You can review and adjust beneficiary designations at any time.
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)
For those age 70 ½ and older, ask your IRA provider to make a distribution directly from your IRA to St. Mary’s Catholic Church without having to pay income taxes on the money. Beginning in the year you turn 73, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD). These tax-smart gifts are commonly called an IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
Charitable Gift of Annuities (CGA)
A CGA is a great way to make a gift to the church and receive regular payments for life. You transfer your cash or property to us; we promise to make fixed payments to you for life at a rate based on your age. The balance is used to support our work. When you create a charitable gift annuity to benefit St. Mary’s Catholic Church, you may receive a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction when you itemize.
Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Would you like to streamline your charitable giving? A donor-advised fund, also known as a “charitable checkbook,” is easy to create and can offer immediate tax benefits while simplifying your yearly charitable giving, including your generous gift to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. DAFs can be set up through a community foundation or your financial institution.
Thank you for considering a legacy gift to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. We are committed to working with you to ensure that you find the charitable arrangements that best meet your needs. Please see below additional information on how you can support our mission for many years to come, or complete the form below to begin the process.
